From Salsa for Seniors to Salsa Bridges: Connecting Ages and Cultures in Elephant & Castle!

From Salsa for Seniors to Salsa Bridges: Connecting Ages and Cultures in Elephant & Castle!

We are excited to announce a major evolution in our community work! What began as "Salsa for Seniors" is growing into something even bigger and more inclusive. Welcome to Salsa Bridges — a FREE weekly salsa lesson and social dance space that is now officially open to everyone, regardless of age, background, or experience.

Building bridges across generations

For the past year, our "Salsa for Seniors" sessions provided a vital space for those over 55 to stay active and social. However, we realised that the true magic of our community lies in the "bridges" we can build between people.

By opening our doors to all ages, we are creating a unique intergenerational space. Salsa Bridges is a place where a 20-year-old and an 80-year-old can share a dance, a story, and a laugh—breaking down social barriers and creating a stronger, more connected Elephant and Castle.

A Celebration of Culture and Connection

Elephant and Castle is a melting pot of cultures, and dance is the perfect universal language to bring us all together. Whether you’ve lived here for fifty years or fifty days, Salsa Bridges can be your home.

We use the power of Latin rhythm to promote inclusion and ensure that no one in our neighbourhood feels isolated.

This project is a community wellbeing initiative by BomGo CIC, which also provides fair paid opportunities for salsa dance teachers from collectives like Sasalsa or Queer Salsa.
