Isaiah Shoniregun Captures Blomo in a Powerful South London Photo Session

Ansel Adams once said "You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved." And this is exactly what Isaiah Shoniregun recently did in his extraordinary photo sessions.

You can recognise some surroundings through the vibe and energy of their shots, where the artist puts a weight on the neighbourhood, the local area, bringing up the love/hate realities of lives in South London. The series of photos not only showcases unique presences but also addresses the prejudices faced by foreigners, often reduced to stereotypes of their native countries.

Photography by Isaiah of Blomo in the streets of Deptford.

Isaiah Shoniregun’s exceptional photography skills shine through in this series. His ability to capture raw emotion and tell a powerful story through his lens makes his work truly unique. Each photography is a blend of technical expertise and creative vision, while capturing the essence of his subjects in a way that viewers emphasise with.

The photoshoots often explore into the prejudices, portraying how working class people, foreigners, minorities... are often viewed through narrow and stereotypical lenses. Shoniregun's images challenge these perceptions, offering a nuanced perspective that encourages viewers to look beyond the surface.

Isaiah’s work can be explored further on his Instagram.

BomGo is proud to support such a talented creative, and looks forward to seeing more collaborations like the shoot from Isaiah and Blomo in the future.
