Salsa for Seniors Returns... and weekly!— Free Dance Sessions for the 55+ Community in Elephant & Castle

We’re delighted to announce that Salsa for Seniors is back — and this time it’s every week!

Starting Thursday 30th October, our free salsa and social dance sessions will take place every Thursday from 7–9pm at the welcoming Draper Hall in Elephant and Castle, London.

This joyful community project is designed especially for people aged 55 and over, though it remains open and inclusive to everyone — all ages, genders, and nationalities are welcome to join and share in the rhythm, movement, and connection.

About the Project and Our Partners

Salsa for Seniors is a community wellbeing initiative by BomGo CIC, an arts and social organisation based in London that creates projects using music, creativity, and collaboration to promote connection and inclusion.
With this project, BomGo aims to help people stay active, joyful, and socially connected through the power of dance.

The sessions are delivered by the wonderful teachers from Sasalsa, a community salsa group based in Nine Elms. Known for bringing people together through Latin music, Sasalsa’s team teaches dancers of all levels — from complete beginners to confident movers — with warmth, patience, and positive energy.

Our sessions continue to take place at Draper Hall, a friendly and inclusive community venue managed by Draper Together. Draper Hall has long been a hub for creativity, culture, and local events, offering a welcoming space where residents come together to connect and enjoy meaningful activities.

Why Salsa for Seniors?

At BomGo CIC, we believe that movement and creativity are for everyone, at every stage of life.
Salsa is a fun and accessible way to improve mobility, confidence, and wellbeing — while sharing smiles and music with others.

As cities grow and change, we want to make sure that older adults continue to have access to free and inclusive spaces / activities that celebrate their energy and presence. Salsa for Seniors aims to do just that — creating a space where dance becomes a tool for community and joy.
