Periscopi Invertit

Periscopi Invertit beautifully intertwines traditional Catalan folk melodies with North African rhythms and jazzy influences, led by Mireia, bass player, composer and band leader of Periscopi Invertit. 

The band explores the fusion of ancient folk tunes with vibrant funk, Latin, and jazz arrangements while maintaining a connection to Mediterranean sounds and grooves.
Periscopi Invertit is the reflection of an immigration journey in a never ending multicultural world.

Currently, the band is in the final stages of equalization and mastering for their debut album, which features several released singles: "El poder del cant," "Ball pla de Tirig," "Ball pla de Lladurs," "Ball de l'àliga," and "La dama d'Aragó." Periscopi Invertit has performed at a variety of venues, including The Jago, Orleans Bar, The Old Hall at Lincoln's Inn, The Mildmay Club, Waterloo Creative Studio, Upstairs at the Ritzy, The Post Bar, Folklore (Hoxton), and Jam in a Jar, among others.
